Overview

This project was created in partnership with Make A Wish to help bring Jonathan’s vision to life. Jonathan, who was diagnosed with lupus, wanted to create his own clothing brand called El Mago, meaning the magician, as a way to express himself and help raise money to support his fight.

Jonathan’s request was specific and personal. He wanted a wolf wearing a top hat and bowtie, representing confidence, individuality, and strength. The design needed to feel bold and memorable while staying true to his idea.

To further connect the identity to his story, the color purple was incorporated throughout the logo to represent lupus awareness and the fight behind it. The final design became the foundation for clothing that was produced and worn to help support his journey.

• Designed a custom logo based directly on Jonathan’s vision

• Created a meaningful identity for his clothing brand El Mago

• Incorporated lupus awareness through intentional color choices

• Developed a logo system for apparel production and fundraising

Challenge and Results

The primary challenge was creating a logo that felt true to Jonathan’s vision while ensuring it worked as a professional and functional clothing brand. The design needed to balance personality and symbolism while remaining clear and recognizable on apparel.

Every detail was carefully considered, from the wolf’s expression to the top hat and bowtie, ensuring the logo reflected confidence and character. The addition of purple introduced deeper meaning, connecting the brand directly to Jonathan’s fight and raising awareness through design.

The final logo was produced on clothing and became a symbol of his strength and determination. It helped transform his idea into something real, allowing others to support his journey and contribute to his cause.

• Brought Jonathan’s personal brand vision to life

• Created apparel ready logo for clothing production

• Supported fundraising efforts through design

• Delivered a meaningful and lasting identity

This project represents the power of design to create something larger than itself, turning a personal vision into a symbol of strength, awareness, and support.
